On November 24, the XIV White Truffle Charity Dinner-Auction took place. A record 23 million rubles have been collected at the venue. All funds will be directed to the Life Line Foundation, which has been a partner of the event for many years, to help seriously ill children.
For the sixth time, the «White Truffle» was held at the Italian restaurant Semifreddo. The chef and two Michelin stars owner Nino Graziano creates a special menu for this event every year with a white truffle from Piedmont, which is considered the most expensive delicacy in the world. The dinner was traditionally hosted by its founder and ideologist Maxim Kashirin.
For the guests of the dinner, 10 unique lots were drawn from world-famous manufacturers — Angostura, Frapin, Nonino, Graham`s, Hine, Darroze, Giuseppe Mascarello, Elio Grasso and Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt.
The collected this year 23 million rubles will help more than 20 children in need of urgent surgical treatment.
The «White Truffle» was first held in 2006, when Maxim Kashirin was awarded the title of «White Truffle Ambassador» — an international title of honor for his services in promoting the gastronomic culture of Piedmont. As an ambassador, he initiated an annual charity dinner. Since then, the «White Truffle» project has raised more than 83 million rubles, which has helped more than 140 children with serious illnesses.
